Transmigration to Transformation: Karma and the Cross
by Dr. Charly Tom
If a man is born blind, deaf or deformed, it is a result of his Karma. Does a man rise to important positions and bondless riches? It is the result of his Karma. The belief in Karma is deeply rooted in the Hindu mind and has always exercised a profound influence, as well as created a serious moral, mental and psychological impact upon Indian society. Marcus Aurelius said “Our life is what our thoughts make it.” For many today, their thoughts and lives have been solely shaped by Karma through the Caste System.
Transmigration to Transformation details a journey from Karma to the Cross, outlining the importance of cultural influence and highlighting the need to share the Gospel among many who have never had a chance to hear the message. It’s not just important for those in India or involved in ministry, for what happens when karma meets the Cross affects everyone. Many feel trapped, and cry out this very day for a freedom that cannot be met by anything the world has to offer. For those seeking liberation a better option is available: total transformation.
